What are vacation lot leases?

Vacation lots are parcels of crown land that the Quebec Governments leases out every year to Quebec citizens for recreational use,

such as setting up a hunting camp, for example.

For many years, the Mi’gmawei Mawiomi have been opposed to the policy used by the Québec Government to authorize the leasing of vacation

lots within the Province of Québec under the authority of the Minister of Natural resources.
